About the role

The Business Development Executive plays a critical role as you find, develop and close new business. This role will be responsible for the entire sales process from developing prospects through closing the sale. Ideally this person will come from a tech/services background selling SaaS solutions to Senior Executives and decision makers in the client organization. You will be having strategic B2B marketing and sales conversations with Senior Executives to be a trusted advisor to help accelerate their growth goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prospect and drive new business in an assigned territory.

  • Build and maintain a healthy, consistent pipeline to meet quota goals.

  • Research target companies and key decision makers to identify their business challenges and need for Intelycx solutions.

  • Research and become a knowledge expert in marketing trends.

  • Create strategies to prioritize and penetrate prospective clients.

  • Scheduling calls with qualified buyers for product demonstrations and proof-of-value projects.

  • Conduct product demonstrations — discuss integrations/tech stacks, present strategic proposals.

  • Telling engaging stories that pique our target buyers’ interests and leave them wanting to learn more about the value our innovative solution delivers.

  • Persist through challenges in getting in touch with vendors; combat vendor objections and pursue sales through creativity, persistence, and a can-do attitude.

  • Stay on top of competitive developments to inform our product roadmaps.

  • Bring insights back to your colleagues and functional leadership to help power our continually evolving products and processes.

  • Qualifying inbound leads and contacting executives at large manufacturing companies.

  • Writing compelling emails that get prospective buyers to respond.

  • Collaborating with sales and marketing to continuously improve our lead generation and follow up process.

  • Build partner network / ecosystem to effectively grow product / Intelycx brand.

  • Participate / represent Intelycx in Industrial trade shows / Industrial IoT community.

  • Develop effective business development strategy for company and product growth.

Desired Profile for this role
  • 2-4 years of experience in a role rooted in Tech B2B Sales and selling to VP/C-Level Executives.

  • In-depth knowledge of the Industrial IoT landscape as it relates to technologies, tactics, services, strategies, etc.

  • Strong organizational and process orientation skills, exceptional verbal and written communication.

  • Experience working with large complex organizations.

  • The ability to communicate business and technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to build relationships and navigate organizations to find the right points of contact.

  • Ability to tailor a sales pitch for a prospect and combat common objectives with confidence.

  • A strong sense of urgency; call for action; collaborative, assertive and persuasive.
